DC-8-63
freighter N869BX, soon to be operated by Heavy Lift out of
Dubai, is going through the final stages of a "C" check, an STC'd cargo door and floor modification, and various
avionics upgrades being performed by Commercial Jet in Miami
(MIA).
Wing It Aviation Consulting provided the crew that flew
this aircraft from the Pinal Air Park airport in Marana,
Arizona, where the aircraft had been in storage since 1999,
to Miami, where the project was undertaken.

|
Throughout the "C" check, modification and and upgrading
process, Wing It Aviation Consulting, Inc., has
maintained project oversight for the aircraft owners in
Kansas City, Missouri.
Although the aircraft shall be operated by Heavy Lift, it
is for sale with Wing It Aviation Consulting, Inc. being an
agent for the owners. |

Aviation pioneer, Sir Freddie Laker passed away on February 9, 2006,
and we shall all miss his wit and humor.
In December 2001, his most recent airline, Laker Airways (Bahamas) Limited
obtained both its Bahamian Air Operator Certificate and US
FAA 129 Air Carrier Certificate and Operations Specifications through
the efforts of Wing It Aviation Consulting, Inc. Among
several tasks performed for Laker, Wing It Aviation Consulting
wrote and produced the entire manual library for Laker
Airways, and maintained a "hands-on" working
relationship with the company throughout its existence as a
passenger carrier.
Pictured here is one of the two B-727-223 aircraft
operated by Laker and formally owned by American Airlines.
Laker's loyalty to Grand Bahama Island and his refusal to
enter the Nassau market led to the demise of Laker Airways
after Grand Bahama island was decimated by Hurricane Wilma, on
October 24, 2005.

|
After
the storm, Wing
It Aviation Consulting, Inc. tried - to no avail - to change the
mind of Sir Freddie, and perhaps save the airline by offering a
substantial market share of the Miami - Cuba charter
business through one of Wing It's clients, Cuba Travel
Service, since in preceding years, Wing It had arranged for
Laker to provide lift for Cuba Travel Service, and the
B-727-223 aircraft operated by Laker had proven themselves
to be ideal for that market.
Sir Freddie simply did not want to abandon Grand Bahama
Island, where he and his wife maintained their primary
residence - a beachfront home with a sheltered dock for his
favorite yacht.

The president of Wing It Aviation Consulting, Inc.
personally flies on occasion one of the best known and
respected power brokers in the world, Mr. Donald Trump.
This B-727-100 series aircraft is finely appointed both
inside and out, and is one of the cleanest and most well
maintained aircraft in the fleet.
The aircraft is shown here on the Supermarine ramp at the
Stewart International Airport (KSWF), in New Windsor, New
York, on October 29, 2005, during filming for Mr. Trump's
hit series "The Apprentice."
